Yesterday, May 17th, I attended the celebration of the International Day of Women in maritime at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in London, held concurrently with the MSC 108 meetings. The event featured a highly engaging discussion panel that addressed various critical issues, including bullying and harassment, maternity leave, and the lack of adequate personal protective equipment (PPE). The panel also underscored the importance of education and the proper implementation of policies to support women in the maritime industry.
